The Wizard of Oz
In partnership with Cojo's Toy World, the New Bedford Art Museum is proud to present a special screening of The Wizard of Oz in celebration of the film's 87th anniversary. Whether you're revisiting the film or experiencing it for the first time, enjoy an evening of timeless adventure, and cinematic magic that's enchanted generations of audiences.
When a tornado sweeps young Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, from their Kansas farm to the magical Land of Oz, they set off on an unforgettable journey. Along the way, they befriend the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion as they travel the Yellow Brick Road to seek the Wizard of Oz, hoping he can grant each of their greatest wishes.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
