Winter Break Program Daily Themes
Monday: Art Is Everywhere
Artists create the characters, images, and designs kids see every day. Students will explore cartoons, illustrations, logos, and visual styles from TV, books, and daily life, then create artwork inspired by the art they already love.
Tuesday: Patterns in Motion & Pottery
Students will start the day with an exciting wheel throwing clay session, exploring circular forms and movement on the pottery wheel. They’ll then experiment with patterns and repetition through printmaking and drawing inspired by rhythm and motion.
Wednesday: Creatures with Character
Students will design expressive animals or imaginary creatures while exploring emotion, body language, and storytelling through drawing and mixed media.
Thursday: Glow Against Dark & Pottery
Students will begin with a wheel throwing clay session, then create bold artwork that explores light and shadow. Through drawing and mixed media, they’ll experiment with contrast, highlights, and mood to make their art glow and stand out.
Friday: Color Explosion
Students will wrap up the week with colorful, splashy painting projects. They’ll explore color palettes, mixing, and expression while creating energetic artwork full of movement and personality.
